We will accept
Unread books in original condition, within 30 days of delivery · Books that arrived damaged, faulty or misprinted · Items sent in error by us · Box sets with all volumes and the outer case intact · Duplicate orders placed by accident
Thirty days to return anything unread, a full refund to your original payment method, and a replacement sent the same day if a book arrives damaged.
How to return something
Write to sales@primebookshop.com with your order number and the title you are returning. No form to fill in, no account needed.
Usually the same working day. You will get the return address and a short reference to write on the slip inside the parcel.
Repack the book so it travels safely — ideally in the packaging it arrived in — and use a tracked service. Until it reaches us it is your parcel, so keep the receipt.
Within 5 working days of the book arriving and passing a condition check, back to your original payment method. Your bank may take a further 3–5 days to display it.
The rules
Unread books in original condition, within 30 days of delivery · Books that arrived damaged, faulty or misprinted · Items sent in error by us · Box sets with all volumes and the outer case intact · Duplicate orders placed by accident
Books that have been read, marked, annotated or have a creased spine · Titles returned after 30 days · Sealed audio, digital or activity items once opened · Personalised or specially ordered titles · Gift wrapping and delivery charges, which are non-refundable unless the fault is ours
Detail
Photograph the damage and email it within 14 days of delivery. We will send a replacement or refund you in full, and in most cases we will not ask you to return the damaged copy. Return postage, where we do need it back, is on us.
You pay when you have changed your mind. We pay when the book is damaged, faulty, not as described or not what you ordered. We recommend a tracked service either way — we can only refund what we actually receive.
We do not process direct swaps. Return the unwanted book for a refund and place a new order for the title you want — it is faster, and it stops the book you actually want from selling out while a parcel is in transit.
A gift recipient can return a book within 30 days of delivery. The refund goes back to the original payment method, so the buyer will see it — tell us if that is a problem and we will arrange store credit instead.
Nothing here affects your rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 or the Consumer Rights Act 2015. UK online orders carry a 14-day cancellation right from delivery; our 30-day policy is deliberately more generous than the law requires.
Refunds always return to the card or wallet used at checkout. We cannot refund to a different card, an account, or as cash.

Email your order number and the title — a bookseller replies the same working day with the return address.
